Barracuda

Depends if you get it in a box from the postman or pick it up on the beach built up. You dont want to take it apart once its built though anyway.

Very Heavy

Frame Material
Stainless Steel
Bolt Diameter:
20mm
Wheels:
Bigfoot Lights, Discs
Optional Extras:

Various wheels, Almost completely customisable.

Introduction: A full on racing buggy with a more agressive performance to the original enduro buggy.

this is a full race spec machine with an incredible price tag of £800 (almost half the price of a libre hardcore or xxracer).

Adjustability:

Basic adjustments include: altering length of down tube, altering seat height/position, movement of the back rest, positioning of foot pegs and the addition of ballast to balance the overall weight;
also as the buggies are hand built in small numbers it is possible to specify certain items and modifications (longer back axle, tighter side frame etc) .

Comfort:

It is important to take a tool kit with you first time you use the buggy with a kite. All that adjustment makes it very easy to achieve a set up that feels great in your living room but totally sucks when you try to use it in anger,
but once everything is set right its lovely.

Be aware that the bolts that allow movement on the back rest must be super tight to prevent slipping otherwise you can find yourself bashing your ribs on the x-bracing.

This is an issue that baracuda are aware of and tests are being done on suitable fixes for it (pad up the brace if you worried).

Construction: Frame is all stainless steel with loads of really nice features:
Nice welds with reinforcement on the bends of the swanneck downtube. x-brace just behind the seat to stiffen siderails (designed completely independantly of a certain dutch buggy – great minds think alike) futher bracing on the siderail at the downtube clamp.

Comes with cadkat bigfoots as standard  with forks capable of running a number of different wheel types- from barrows to 24″ discs.

Completed with a solid and comfortable seat and well finished siderail/backrest padding.

Freestyling:

If you try hard enough you can 360 it but that`s about it for the tricks. You can throw the thing about but a race buggy isn`t meant to be easy to get on 2 wheels.

Speed and Cruising:

For straight line speed the original enduro is proabably a slightly better buy. The huge rake of the front fork, longer wheelbase and longer axle make it very stable at speed.

For racing however the adrenanline rocks! Since recieving mine I have seen a satisfying jump in my placings in both PKA and Supercup series. And hope to take it to the european championships later this year (provided I figure out how to get the best from a new set of kites).

Final Comments:

Barracuda are don`t do mass production and the adrenaline is essentially still at a prototype stage one. Expect minor changes as current batch are thoughrily tested but overall this is bloody good! Shown to be competetive, good fun to use and very, very good value for money.
